How can I improve my signal if it is weak?
Your Rural Wi-Fi signal could be affected by our network coverage in your area but also the position of your Rural Wi-Fi Router. Try to place the Router on a window sill or in an other room.
With our 30-day money-back guarantee, you’ve got time to give it a try. This cooling off period gives you a way of testing the coverage without paying for expensive service visit.
My broadband is dropping
If you have a problem with your broadband service, try turning your Rural Wi-Fi Router off for a few minutes and switch it on again to reset it. If that doesn’t work, check the signal on the front of your device. You may need to move your device to a spot with better signal. If you’re still having trouble, contact our customer care service 01 8991070 and we would be happy to help.
When will I get my Rural Wi-Fi broadband?
We’re always flexible, just in case you can’t be. We use courier service to be able to deliver your box without delays. Our delivery days are Monday to Friday. We offer next working day shipping as standard for orders placed before 12pm Monday to Thursday, to the address of your choice within Republic of Ireland.
If you order on Friday, or anytime over the weekend, you’ll get shipped your Rural Wi-Fi Router on the following Monday.
Once you receive your Rural Wi-Fi Router just plug it in and use it straight away. Welcome to instant broadband.
How do I sign up?
It’s simple. Just go to https://www.ruralwifi.ie/#pricing and pick the plan you would like to sign up to. Fill in the details and click submit. Remember to have your CC or debit card and bank details.
Once you submit the form the first payment will be deducted from your CC or debit card. A Direct Debit will be set up for you and a monthly charge will be deducted from your account on a monthly basis. First payment is taken from your card, the next one is pro rata and the third is the monthly payment according to the option chosen by you
How do I pay?
First month payment is taken from your CC or Debit Card on submitting the order. The Direct Debit mandate is attached to your delivery, so you just sign it and post it back to us. A monthly payment is automatically deducted from your account every month so you don’t need to worry about it.
Is my device portable?
Yes. You can easily move it to adjust the signal strength. You can even take it with you when moving house or visiting friends.
How can I test the speed of my internet?
It’s easy. There are hundreds of websites allowing you to run independent tests. The one we recommend is available here: http://www.speedtest.net
How does it work?
Our 3G/4G routers work like your mobile phone and the coverage and speeds depend on the distance and capabilities of nearby cellullar towers.

It doesn't work. What should I do?
- Try to place the router on a window sill in different locations in your house.
- Still doesn’t work? Very likely there is no coverage in your area. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it as our system operates on an existing network. We are working to get more providers onboard to offer better coverage in the future.
- Send the equipment back to us and we will return give you a full refund minus delivery charge. Delivery is a third party courier service. Alternatively you can send a request to email@example.com and we will arrange a collection. The cost is €15 and it will be deducted from the amount we refund you.
